Current research suggests that as many as 1 in 100 people have celiac disease (CD) which is equal to 1% of all Americans or 3 million people, 97% of whom are undiagnosed. 1 in 22 people are estimated to have it if a parent, child or sibling has it. The average child visits 8 doctors before receiving a correct diagnosis.
It takes an average of 11 years to be diagnosed with celiac disease in the United States. 60% of children and 41% of adults diagnosed with celiac disease showed NO symptoms during the five years they were tracked for a multicenter study of celiac disease.

Upcoming Events at OMG...It's Gluten Free
OMG is proud to announce that our chef, Andrew Hebda, will be competing in the First Annual Gluten-Free Pizza Contest held during the Orlando Pizza Show on September 12. Chef's will be making their best-tasting gluten-free pizza dough to promote celiac awareness and help show the versatility of gluten-free dough. If Chef Andrew wins, he will become a member of the U.S. Pizza Team and will be invited to participate in future culinary competitions. Let's get together to cheer him on and wish him luck! Whatever the outcome, this is an honor for him and he knows he's already a WINNER with us!
